Licence terms (EULA)

What you may do with PlayFellow AI and the course, and what we promise.

Draft — pending legal review

The short version

  • Use Playfellow for the players your plan covers: Solo 1, Pro 2, Squad up to 4.
  • Don't share, resell or re-upload the app, the course or your account.
  • Use it with single-player games you play on your own, following our Acceptable Use rules.

Your licence

While your subscription is active, REPLACE_LEGAL_ENTITY_NAME (“Rivel Labs”) gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Playfellow for the players your plan covers. You must be 18 or older. You own your own data: your buddy's memory, notes and anything you make. Rivel Labs owns the app, the course and the brand, including the Lightfolk characters.

Players and PCs

  • Solo: one player, on their own PC.
  • Pro: two players, each on their own PC.
  • Squad: up to four players, each on their own PC.
  • To move to a new PC, deactivate the old one in the app.

Course materials

  • The course is sold separately and is for your own learning.
  • Don't resell, publish or re-upload the files, and don't share your course access.

Activation and working offline

The app checks your plan online when you activate it, then works offline. It checks in again about once a month. A cancelled plan keeps working to the end of the period you paid for.

AI services

Cloud AI companies are separate services with their own terms. You hold your own account and key, and you are responsible for how it is used and for its costs. Local AI on your PC is free.

Updates

The app can tell you about updates (Settings: off, notify or automatic). Every update is digitally signed and checked before it installs.

Cancelling and refunds

Cancel any time; you keep access to the end of the period you paid for. Paddle, our seller of record, handles payments and refunds as described on the Refunds page and in the Terms.

No guarantees

Playfellow is provided “as is”. AI can make mistakes, so keep the stop key within reach. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for lost game progress, game accounts banned for breaking a game's rules, or indirect losses, and our total responsibility is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months. Nothing here limits rights you have by law.

Ending the licence

The licence ends when your subscription ends, or if you seriously break these terms. When it ends, stop using the app and delete it.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of REPLACE_COUNTRY_OF_ESTABLISHMENT. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the country where you live.
