Playfellow

Your AI player 2, right on your PC

Playfellow watches your game, thinks out loud, talks with you and plays along. You decide the goal, the keys it may press, and when it stops.

WHAT IT DOES

Everything a good teammate does

Sees your game

It looks at the game window you pick, nothing else on your screen.

Thinks out loud

It says what it sees and what it's trying, in short, simple sentences.

Chats with you

Type “go left” or “find the key” and it changes its plan.

Presses the keys

Real keyboard and mouse moves, only from the controls card you approve.

Remembers your game

Each game gets its own buddy, with its own memory and notes.

Stops at once

Press F12 or push the mouse into the top-left corner. Done.

THE LOOP

How your buddy plays

Look, think, check, act. Then it remembers what happened and does it again, every few seconds.

  1. LookIt takes a picture of your game window.
  2. ThinkIt decides what to try next, and says why.
  3. CheckOnly keys on the game's controls card are allowed.
  4. ActIt presses the keys, only while the game is in front.

WHICH GAMES

Your offline, single-player games

Playfellow works with games you play on your own Windows PC. Start with the built-in practice arena, a little game that always works, then pick one of your own.

It's for offline, single-player games only. Online games often ban helpers like this, and playing against real people with an AI isn't fair.

Honest note: AI buddies are good at calm games and still learning fast 3D ones. Finding out why is part of the fun (that's Day 7 of the course).

Climb the game ladder

  1. Puzzle and turn-based games: the easiest start.
  2. 2D action and platformers: jumping, dodging, collecting.
  3. 3D games: the big challenge.

Games aren't included. Use games you already own.

ITS BRAIN

Free local AI, or your own cloud AI

Playfellow doesn't lock you to one company. You pick the brain in the settings.

Local AI (free)

Runs on your own PC with Ollama or LM Studio. Nothing leaves your computer. Slower on older PCs.

Cloud AI (your account)

Connect your own Gemini, Claude or OpenAI account for faster, smarter play. You pay that company directly.

AI cost: Local AI on your PC is free; cloud AI typically costs about $3–20/month on your own account.

The Lightfolk

Your buddy has a face. Fello is the first of the crew who play, plan and keep watch with you.

LEARN HOW IT WORKS

Add the 15-day course

Turn play into learning: each day opens one part of the buddy, from its eyes to its coach.

  1. DAY 1Meet your AI game buddyAn AI can look at a screen and press keys, just like you.
  2. DAY 2Its eyesIt only sees pixels: the same picture you see, nothing secret from inside the game.
  3. DAY 3Its handsIt plays with the keyboard and mouse like a person, but only with the moves you allow.
  4. DAY 4Its brainYou give it a goal and a personality with words, and the same brain then plays very differently.
  5. DAY 5Thinking out loudExplaining a plan before acting leads to better choices, and lets you spot silly ideas.
  6. DAY 6Its memoryRemembering the last few moments, and what it learned before, helps it play better.
  7. DAY 7Why is this so hard?Knowing what something is is not the same as knowing how to do it.
  8. DAY 8Team captain + playerA slow, careful planner can guide a fast player, one small step at a time.
  9. DAY 9The AI coachAn AI can invent challenges, score attempts out of 100, and use the scores to get better.
  10. DAY 10The CrewEach game gets its own buddy, and only tricks that work in more than one game are shared with everyone.
  11. DAY 11Teach by showingYou can teach your buddy by playing yourself while it watches, then letting it study the recording.
  12. DAY 12Fast games and reflexesA fast part reacts every split second while a slow part thinks in the background, so the buddy keeps moving while it plans.
  13. DAY 13The Mind, a team inside one brainOne AI answer can play seven little helpers at once, each with one job, and you can watch what every helper is thinking.
  14. DAY 14Learning from the web, safelyThe buddy can look up game tips on a few trusted sites, but only with your yes, and it treats every tip as a guess until play proves it.
  15. DAY 15Final project, showcase and play fairA well-trained buddy can try a game it has never seen, and a good player uses AI safely, fairly and honestly.
